You can't hear about New Mexico without hearing about hot-air ballooning--the two seem to go hand in hand. In fact, one of the state's greatest attractions is the annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta in early October, which draws thousands of people from all over the world. It is possible to charter hot-air balloon rides in all regions of the state. Most companies offer a variety of packages from the standard flight to a more elaborate all-day affair that includes meals. For more information, you should contact individual chambers of commerce.
